Intentional Surrender
Each year, Just Do You: The Movement intentionally sets aside time for Sacred Spaces, our yearly gathering designed to remind us that sacred space is not limited to the four walls of a church.
Sacred Spaces gives us an opportunity to gather differently. It is a time for connection, conversation, reflection, worship, and simply being present with God and with one another. Throughout the month, we explore what it means to recognize God’s presence in the places we often overlook: the spaces we occupy, the relationships we nurture, the moments we share, and even within ourselves.
We believe that wherever God is welcomed, ordinary space can become sacred space.
This yearly gathering is also a reminder of who we are as a Movement. We were never called to simply gather inside of a building....we are called to build community, cultivate relationships, grow as disciples, and carry the presence of God wherever we go.
So every year, Sacred Spaces invites us to slow down, look around, and become more intentional about the spaces we create and the presence we carry.
Sometimes sacred space looks like worship.
Sometimes it looks like a table and honest conversation.
Sometimes it looks like laughter, silence, prayer, reflection, or community.
And every time….it simply looks like making room.
Sacred Spaces: making room for God, making room for one another, and recognizing that His presence can meet us anywhere.
Coffee Conversations
The heart of Coffee Conversations is simple: people deserve a space to be heard.
We believe there is something powerful about sitting across from someone and simply listening to their story without preaching to them. Just creating space for people to share the parts of their journey that have shaped who they are.
Coffee Conversations was created as an opportunity for us to step outside of the traditional church setting and meet people in the everyday spaces where life happens. Around a table, over a cup of coffee, in the middle of our communities. Ministry does not only happen behind a pulpit, and some of the most meaningful conversations will never happen inside a sanctuary.
Every person carries a story. There are victories you cannot see, battles you would never know they fought, prayers that have been answered, seasons they survived, lessons they learned, and pieces of their journey that may be exactly what someone else needs to hear.
That is the heart of Coffee Conversations.
It is not about giving someone another platform to preach. It is about giving people room to tell their story, and allowing God to be glorified through the honesty of what He has done, what He has brought them through, and who they have become along the way.
We gather to listen, connect, and to remember that sometimes ministry looks less like a microphone and more like pulling up a chair.
